What to Pack

Travel light! We recommend bringing one small or medium-sized suitcase, then buy an extra bag in one of the local markets to bring back your souvenirs. There are laundry facilities on-site in the villas and many hotels and you can buy a large range of toiletries and personal items in the supermarkets. Pack an adapter (airports sell them) if you bring electrical items, and chargers for phones or laptops. Towels are provided. Bring a yoga mat and workout clothes if you want to participate in morning yoga (ask Liz if this will be an option on your tour). We recommend that you use packing cubes and roll your clothes.

Tuscany, Provence and Greece: can be very hot in the summer (90s). Bring cool, cotton clothes: shorts, t-shirts, one pair of long pants and a long-sleeved shirt, sundresses, a scarf (for women) to cover bare shoulders in churches, light cardigan or jacket for evenings or restaurants. Bathing suit or swim trunks. Sports sandals, flip flops and shoes that are comfortable to walk or hike in. Terrain may be uneven, on some days we do a lot of walking, and there are plenty of stairs to climb on all tours!

Scotland, England, Ireland: the weather can be unpredictable although sometimes quite hot in summer so check the forecast just before you leave and dress accordingly! Bring a sweater, rain coat or waterproof jacket, and a small umbrella. Temperatures may range from the 50's to the 80's and occasionally 90's. You can expect a mix of rain and sunshine.

New Zealand: February is mid/late summer and temperatures can vary a lot. Auckland is warm whereas Fiordland and the mountains can be cold, particularly at night. Expect rain any time! So bring a range of clothes to suit your activities - waterproofs and fleeces, walking shoes, both short and long sleeved shirts, and short and long pants. Gloves and warm socks are recommended, as well as a hat. Bug repellant and sunscreen too...
